The Education System Speaks

Collective Systemic Constellations

Our education system is creaking and groaning. There is dissatisfaction, all kinds of problems and many sore spots. In addition, innovative movements, projects and ideas are also emerging. The sentence: The system is broken, comes up regularly and it touched me, because, is this right? If we were to give the system a voice, what would it say? I feel the urge to feel together, listen and come into alignment with the system. Not another plan, not another opinion, not thought up, not directed - but arising from the deeper layers, the undercurrent,

where the system itself speaks.

I, Indy Thijn, would like to invite you to come together for a research through systemic constellations where we will set up 'The Education System' as a collective and in which we will make a journey of profound inspiration. With this research group, consisting of involved voices from different corners of education, we form a living research field in which we check in over a period of several months, listen to the system and let the system speak. What wants to be seen? What asks for recognition? What can move? And above all, what information from this can we take with us as inspiration for our daily practice?

This is not a fixed trajectory, but a profound, systemic and co-creative process, supported by trust, presence and receptivity. Everything that presents itself is welcome. Every voice counts. In order to listen to all corners and sides of this system, in addition to the permanent research group, newcomers will also be present at the constellations. People who join one of the constellations and represent within that specific theme.

The insights that arise here are crystal clear, striking and profound. They are not only felt and lived through, but also translated concretely into movement in the system and practice - politics, schools, in classrooms, with children, parents and teachers.

This is not a blueprint, not a solution. This is a living, interdisciplinary journey toward an education system that not only survives and does what it was set out to do, but thrives and connects with the here and now.

You are welcome as

What can you expect?

8 meetings between March and December of this year, four of which are physical set-up days at the above inspiring location in Utrecht:

March 26, May 7, September 10, October 29.

And four online moments of joint reflection in between.

As a research group we start and close this trajectory together, we form the common thread in the whole. During the setup days there will be a number of newcomers on the specific theme of that moment during a part of the day, so during the actual setup.

In addition to a financial contribution, we expect everyone who participates in the research group to commit to at least 60 percent attendance.

You are most welcome!

Frequently Asked Questions

- What happens with the insights from the constellations?

This gradually becomes apparent. The trajectory is open and receptive: sometimes something collective is set in motion, sometimes something in someone's individual practice. Everyone brings along what is right for him or her - and that may be small, large, immediately or in the long term visible. And perhaps something collectively wants to emerge, that may also happen. Nothing must and everything may, however, the intention is that the insights from these sessions can flow through to practice, for actual system change, but how, when and via whom, that is open.

- I am not familiar with systemic work, what exactly does this entail?

Think of family constellations, but collectively and around a social theme. There is no questioner or fixed roles. Everyone steps into the field as themselves. It is both deepening for yourself as a person, and for how you relate to the education system and your place in it, and wisdom is released from the larger collective, which we may receive.

- What is my added value as a participant?

If you feel an inner 'yes', you may follow it. Every voice is equally important - from policy maker to teacher, from parent to school leader, from wisdom keeper to researcher. It is precisely the diversity of perspectives that makes the field powerful.

- Can I participate without taking part in the full course?

Yes, that is possible. You can participate in a separate setup day. During that day you step into the field as a newcomer and experience the process for half a day. There is also room for reflection and integration afterwards.

- Can I get this reimbursed through my work?

Yes, some have been able to arrange this. Of course, it does depend on the agreements made for this within your function and company. In the attachment you will find an information file that you can use to share internally with an application.

- How are safety and vulnerability dealt with in the group?

Within the trajectory, we create a field of safety and trust together. Regardless of each person's function or role, we as a group carry a shared value: that vulnerability is welcome, and that everything that is shared is handled with care. Information and personal experiences that emerge within the group remain within the trajectory. These may never be shared or used outside this framework without permission or consultation. If something does arise that does want to move outside, this will always happen in consultation and with everyone's consent. In this way, we jointly safeguard a safe environment in which openness, depth and integrity can exist.

About me

Indy Thijn, Holistic Education Advisor

I dream of a world where we don't just live from our heads, but from our full, unique potential. And that potential is so much greater than we can imagine.

Now more than ever, balance is needed. At home, at work, in society. But real change starts with ourselves—with the way we learn, guide, and create space for growth.

With a broad experience in guidance, education and youth care, I quickly see the core of challenges and help to bring movement where it is stuck. I am a feeler and a go-getter. My strength lies in working from trust, holism and a deep awareness of everyone's unique potential.

Let us build together a world in which head, heart, intuition and hands can be in balance.

Towards a generation that knows itself and faces the world with confidence.
